What is involved with laser hair removal?

The first step includes shaving the area to be treated and an anesthetic cream is applied to the area. The laser picks up the pigment in the follicles, damaging the surrounding follicle produced by the pulsed beams of highly concentration laser light.
The procedure it is not painful. The length of a laser session may be a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area being treated. Any redness and swelling of the affected areas usually disappears in a short time. And most people return to normal activity right away.

Are there any risks or complications using a laser?

There are no risks or complications using a laser on the skin. The more experience the technician has, the better. Also, the person that will do the treatment should avoid exposure to the sun at least two weeks before the treatment. Keep in mind to be off any antibiotics at least seven days before treatment. If pregnant, do not have any worries, because the laser doesn’t do any damage to the fetus. The laser is the safest light out of all the lights existing.

How many treatments will I need?

Patients receive the best results when they treat the area six to eight times with four to six weeks in between.
